Gary Kilgos - Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

After high school I went to Southern Illinois University.  After seven years I left with a Graduate Degree in Business.  Taught at Eastern Illinois University for two years in the School of Business. (Brother Lamarre, was stunned I am sure, since he told Ron Bouchard and myself not to worry about college and become State Troopers.  Last I heard, Ron had also taught at the university level at Ball State and I am still alive - so much for H.S. Guidance Counseling).

I met my wife at SIU and have been married for 34 years to Ellen McGuire Kilgos (originally from Mt. Carmel, Illinois).

We have two children:

Pamela, Univ. of Illinois Grad., living in Plainfield, Illinois.  Working for Chicago Tribune  in Oak Brook, Illinois.

Matthew, University of Georgia grad, living in Columbus, Ohio.    He works in sales for McNeil Pharmaceuticals (a division of Johnson and Johnson) in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Currently a Financial Planner - 12 years                         Currently owner of two Child Day Care facilities - 30 years

Likes:    Golf, boating, travel, cold beer, woodworking, yard work/flower gardens, enjoy most sporting events, fast women and wild cars (oops!), that's fast cars and wild flowers, Aqua 50' Fords (hand painted), dogs with gray beards, mindless creative writing and humorous people with ready wit who say what they think.  Beach sunsets or sun come ups!  Good friends and reunions. Not in order!

Dislikes:    Back pain, sloe gin, NBA, long walks, short talks, warm beer, any coffee, cheeseless burgers, men with dark hair, any book and magazines without pictures. Cats and cat naps, cartpath only signs, short drives and long putts and pencils without erasers.  Loudmouths, know it all's and bib overalls.  Pink flamingos, bingo games and tight fitting unpolished shoes.  Muscle t-shirts, baggy pants, NFL and touchdown celebrations.  Not in order!

Favorite Places:  Home, Chicago, Venice, Rome and New York City.  In order!

And if I could change one thing:  Leaving the Midwest!
